Get live, smart translations tailored to the dialect you’re learning. Save new words to your dictionary instantly — so you actually remember them (and never mix up “tomar” vs. “coger” again).

Uncover the Patterns Holding You Back

Your dashboard analyzes your entries to reveal the weak points quietly limiting your progress. No more guessing — just clear guidance on what to improve and proof of how your skills are growing.

Write at Your Level With Adaptive Prompts

Journaling for language learning works because it nudges your brain into active mode—pulling up vocabulary, building sentences, and organizing ideas in real time. These are the exact processes powered by the neural networks responsible for language, attention, and memory encoding. And the results speak for themselves. Studies show that EFL learners who journal regularly increase writing fluency by up to 66%, strengthen vocabulary and grammar, and even see bigger gains in speaking than students who only follow standard lessons. In one study, the journaling group boosted their mean speaking scores by over 75%, compared to 43% in the control group—clear proof that consistent digital journaling can accelerate both written and spoken skills far faster than traditional practice alone.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you wanted to know about FluentJournal.

What is FluentJournal?

FluentJournal is a cozy digital journal that will help you learn a language! It's designed specifically for intermediate to advanced learners (although beginners can use it too!) with science backed methodologies.

So, I'm on the waitlist. Now what?

Now, we wait. Just kidding! The waitlist guarantees you beta-access, which means you will be given access to the platform before anyone else does. You'll also get access to exclusive waitlist-only opportunities, so be sure to keep your eye out for an email from us soon!

What languages will FluentJournal support?

Great news! The way we're building this allows us to work with virtually every single language and every dialect. Bad news :( There will be some features that will be blocked in more niche / complex languages and dialects in the beginning, but we are actively working on supporting every language, and are prioritizing requests we get from you! Stay on the lookout for a questionnaire to fill out soon.

Why can't I just journal by myself?

You definitely can and we encourage it if you can keep the habit up! Our founder tried journaling and she improved by a whole CEFR level in a couple months. But she was struggling to keep the habit up on her own. There are a lot of obstacles involved like finding someone to correct you, seeing your progress, looking up new words, choosing the right prompt, and adopting the habit. These are things that we solve to make journaling frictionless to increase habit adoption and learning.

How much will this cost?

This is still in the works. Once we get more information, we will update you guys, but we are hoping ads will cover the costs of having a version that will be free of charge, so this tool can be accessible to everyone!

I journal by hand though...

Don't worry, we got you! An iPad version of FluentJournal is in the works (it's just a tad more complicated and requires more time). Sign up to the waitlist to get notified when it goes live.
